Kromski Dealership

Hello Everyone

I am so excited that I can finally say that I am able to sell Kromski Spinning Wheels and Weaving Looms.  I love my Kromski Sonata Spinning wheel so much and was impressed that the bags are included in the package and so you are totally set up to ‘travel’ with your wheel wherever takes your fancy.  The bag even has a back strap so you can wear your bag like a backpack!  Much better for me as I have a bad back but the fact that the Sonata only weights 5 Kg is even better!!!  If you would like more information on the Sonata, please follow this link …

Ickworth Wool Fair

Our Stand
Our Stand

We had a great weekend at Ickworth House, our first show in Norfolk.  Although the weather was a little, shall we say, ‘blustery with showers’ on sunday, a good time was had by all.  There was a mix of entertainment with morris dancers, sheep shearers and even dancing sheep, which I have to say were my favourites.

I had a lot of interest in my weaving and spinning demonstrations on both days and met some really lovely people – thank you to all those who came by to say hello and an even bigger thank you to those who purchased a few of the items I had on sale.

Both Mike and I had forgotten how much we enjoy being at the shows and meeting such lovely and diverse people.  Roll on the next one!

Beautiful Day

2015-04-15 09.41.422015-04-15 09.42.03

The sun is shining here in Norfolk and the birds are singing.  It is simply glorious outside and a good day for being creative.  The loom is warped and I have started a new project with browns and creams which I am eager to continue.

I have been looking at some of my previously woven textiles and will be sewing them up shortly into garments and scarves.  I like to let the colours and textures ‘grow’ on me before deciding on the  final application for each material.  Whether it will be worn or made into an accessory for personal use or for the home.  The one below I think I will make into a shrug for the summer – pictures to follow.

During the summer I also have a window seat which will need to be covered and I am looking at various styles and patterns of weaving from all over the world including Mexico, Andes and Guartemala to inspire me for the final fabric.  I will let you know more in future posts!

The spinning wheel has some lovely bright colours on it ready for the next project – perhaps a little blanket for my grandson, Dexter.  We had such fun at The Ancient House, Thetford, yesterday for our spinning circle.  We meet every other week and enjoy spinning, chatting and learning in beautful historic surroundings, a real treat!

Well the coffee is finished so I had better get stuck in to my creations!
